Dear baby,
This week you are 30 weeks, today is the last day of the year 2010 but Mommy and Daddy just stay at home because Mommy's tummy is too big to walk around outside now. You are now moving a lot while Mommy is writing this. Are you also excited to see the year 2011, baby? Yea, it is getting nearer to your coming, Mommy is so excited too! Be patient, 8 more weeks, baby. We plan to deliver you on 22/02/2011 at 11am. We choose this special date for you, you like it, baby? Dear my baby,
This week you are 30 weeks old, it is 8 more weeks before you can see the world! Mommy is so excited to see you, my boy! You have grown bigger and heavier inside Mommy's womb. You move a lot when Mommy is relaxing on the sofa. Mommy really enjoys your movements so much! Sometimes part of your body appears on Mommy's tummy's surface so Mommy can really touch you.

Do you know what Mommy is doing now? Mommy is preparing the checklist on what to buy before you're born. Few days ago, Mommy and Daddy went to baby shop to browse around the cot and the stroller for you. We are also moving to our new home in few months, so Mommy and Daddy starts designing your future bedroom. What color do you like, baby? Mommy should choose for you now, don't complain in the future, ok? ;)

Oh baby, so many things Mommy need to buy and prepare before you come. Setting up your bedroom is the hardest part since Mommy needs to do cleaning. You must be tough and healthy inside, ok?

7th Ultrasound - 28 Weeks

Hi my little baby,
We went to see your doctor again today, you are now 28 weeks! Your weight is now 1.172kg, you are heavy now. Mommy starts having stretchmarks on tummy now on the left side because you like to kick Mommy's left side's tummy! You are getting heavier and stronger now. Mommy eats extra calcium and drinks milk for you to have healthy and strong bones. Mommy also eats DHA Omega-3 and fish for you to have smart brain. Doctor said that your bones and brain tissue are developing at this period so Mommy only wants to eat and drink healthy things for you. Be a healthy and smart boy ya!

Your tummy's diameter is now 24.08cm, your foot's length is 5.15cm. As you can see from the graph, your weight is always on ideal curve, the average curve. How do you manage to keep your weight under control? You must be like your Daddy who controls the weight very well, unlike Mommy ;P

Baby, do you see the last picture? That is your face figure from side. You have a nice long nose and seem to have thick lips. It is fun to keep guessing what you look like and whom you resemble more. Keep being healthy, baby.. we will see you again in 4 weeks!

Hi my baby boy!
You are 26 weeks old now. You have been a good boy! You were strong and healthy during Mommy's and Daddy's long trip. You went to Bali, Solo, Singapore, and Krabi Thailand; total was 7 flights. You practically have been traveling to 3 countries, baby! Mommy was so tired during the trip and was worried if you were okay. You are really okay! :D

Mommy got food poisonous in Bali because of Babi Guling! Mommy couldn't sleep at all because Mommy's tummy was so painful, you also kept moving the whole night, doctor said you also had stomachache. Oh, I am sorry, my baby. Luckily that was the last day in Bali. So the next day we flew to Solo and we went to see doctor. After checking and medication, the doctor said you're doing fine. Phew! The picture on the left is the picture of Mommy with Babi Guling before we both had stomachache. Below are our pictures in Bali!


In Singapore, you really really moved a lot! Usually when Mommy is standing, you don't move so much. But this time, you didn't even care what Mommy was doing, you kept moving! Do you like Singapore so much till you danced all the time, baby? Or, you like Singapore food coz Mommy managed to eat the Singapore food that Mommy was missing these few months? Mommy loves Singapore too! Let's go back there one day, baby.

In Thailand, you were quiet. Two days in Thailand, you didn't move so much till Mommy was so worried if you were not okay inside. Actually this Thailand trip is Mommy's and Daddy's babymoon. We just relaxed in the villa. Were you quiet to give Mommy and Daddy a private time, baby? ;) Although you were so quiet and trying to hide yourself in the corner of Mommy's tummy, Mommy still can see you! Hahahaha! You are already so big, where else can you hide? Anyway, we appreciate your effort and understanding, baby. These are our pictures in Thailand.


After we headed back to Singapore and Hong Kong, you started to move a lot again. Although you still can't see the world, you still don't know anything about this world, but you just somehow know what's going on. You are a smart baby! Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

6th Ultrasound - 24 Weeks

Hello baby!
You are now 24 weeks! Time goes by so quickly. You are now 709 grams, your weight is very average for your age. Your head's diameter is 5.67cm, and your body's diameter is 20.53cm. Your foot's length is 4.39cm. Doctor said you are a healthy baby! That's all Mommy needs to hear, as long as you are healthy and fine, Mommy is happy enough.

Tomorrow you need to get ready for a long trip, baby. We three; Mommy, Daddy, and you will go to Bali, Solo (our hometown), Singapore, and Krabi Thailand for 2 weeks. Please be healthy and strong during this trip, baby. This will be our first family trip, excited, baby? ;)

5th Ultrasound - 20 Weeks

Hi Baby!
Finally you are 20 weeks now! This week you need to have a detail scan, this scan is very important for you. Mommy has been looking forward to this scan to make sure you are doing fine. Thanks God, you are perfectly healthy!

Your weight now is 336grams, your head's diameter is 4.56cm, your body's diameter is 15.01cm, heartbeat is normal 155bpm. You have healthy heart, lung, kidney, liver, spine, bladder, and other structures are perfectly okay. The blood and water circulation in your body work well too. Your brain, fingers, toes, eyes, nose, lips, ears are all developing normal and fine. Phew! This is such a good news for Mommy and Daddy! Below are your pictures when you are 20 weeks, you look cool and handsome, huh? ^^






Thank you for being a healthy baby! Mommy can't thank God enough for giving such a healthy baby to me.

You Respond to Songs!

Good morning, baby..
Today Mommy tried to use earphones and play Baby Einsteins songs for you. Mommy put these 2 earphones on Mommy's belly for you to listen. You responded well! You kicked where the sound came from. Mommy tried to move the earphone to other location and you also followed it and kicked again where the earphone was placed. It's so cute! Mommy will play these songs for you every day so you can grow smarter and smarter.

Your First Kick!

My Baby!!
Finally Mommy can feel and see your kicking this morning! :D
You are now almost 20 weeks old. Mommy has been feeling your movements a week before but today Mommy saw your kicking, Mommy's belly was slightly moved because of your tiny kicks. When Mommy touched you by hand, Mommy could feel it too! That was really an amazing experience, baby.. Since then, Mommy keeps feeling your kicks and punches. Mommy wanted to show your first kick to Daddy but Daddy was in office at that time. There will be lots of other opportunities, right? Please show it to Daddy next time when Daddy is home, okay? ^.^

Oh yea, Mommy and Daddy started to choose your name. We picked some good names, we argued, we wanna give you the best name we can so don't complain about your name in the future, kay? ;)

4D Ultrasound - 19 Weeks

Hello my dear baby,

Yes, this picture is you! Mommy went back to Indonesia for 10 days and had a 4D Ultrasound in Indonesia to see your face. You were 19 weeks old, actually it is too small to see your face. But, Mommy really couldn't wait anymore. Thanks God we can roughly see how you look like. You have small chin and cute lips, your grandma said that you looked like your Daddy ;D

These are another pictures of your body parts. Doctor said that you are a normal and healthy baby! Your weight is now 250 grams and your length is 12 cm. Your heartbeat is 150 bpm. And, you are definitely a baby boy! ^0^


During this Indo trip, you had been a very good boy. You stayed strong and healthy even though it was quite a long and tiring trip. Thank you Jesus for protecting us and bringing us back to Hong Kong safely! Mommy slept a lot the first two days after we were back in HK, are you happy to be home again, baby?

Mommy has gained 3-4kg so far, Mommy's appetite is growing. Next week you will get a 20-week detail scan by our doctor in Hong Kong to check your internal organs. Let's pray that everything will be okay.

Dear baby,
Yesterday Mommy downloaded some prenatal lullabies for you from Baby Mozart and Baby Einstein. People say these womb-song lullabies are good for your brain development, linguistic development, and coordination behaviours. Since now you can start listening Mommy also starts to play these lullabies for you. This is one of the lullabies that Mommy loves to hear ^,^


Yesterday was also special for you, baby. Daddy also tries to start talking to you. Since you still did not understand the meaning now, Mommy will write it here, this was the first advice (and will be a continuous one) from Daddy to you; 'Be a good and responsible boy, be a smart genius boy who can make your Daddy and Mommy proud of, be an understanding child to your parents, and don't be naughty.'

Next week Mommy and you will travel to Indonesia for 10 days. Please be healthy during the trip, baby. God bless you, as always!

4th Ultrasound - 16 Weeks

Dear my baby,
Mommy and Daddy saw you again!! This ultrasound was meaningful since we got to know your gender finally :D Mommy booked appointment to see the doctor at 4.30pm on Friday since Saturday was not available. Mommy came late because of traffic jam, Daddy was already waiting for Mommy in the clinic since Daddy went straight from office. The traffic at that time was very packed, Mommy finally got off from the bus and planned to take a cab for faster route. Unfortunately, after 10 minutes running around, Mommy didn't get any available cab, at the end Mommy had to take minibus again. Mommy reached the clinic 25 minutes late and the queue inside was very long. Finally after 1.5 hours of waiting, Mommy and Daddy were called to go in to see you around 6.20pm. Mommy's tiredness was suddenly gone after seeing you! ^,^

Mommy was so happy that you're doing great. You're now 16 weeks and 2 days, which is around 4 months old. You're now 9.7cm long from head to bottom (not including your legs). Your length is almost doubled since last month, baby. Your head is 3.5cm in diameter, which is very normal according to your age. Mommy heard your healthy heartbeat too, it was 164 bpm. Your doctor showed your face from the side, Mommy and Daddy saw your long nose figure, you're gonna be a gorgeous baby!

These are your pictures when you're 16 weeks. Your spine is healthy. Mommy saw you yawning for few seconds then you were sucking your thumb. You didn't move a lot unlike the previous month, perhaps you were sleeping.


The most interesting part was when checking your gender. Before the doctor said something, Mommy and Daddy already spotted it and it was correct! Yes, you are a baby boy! The doctor said you are 70% a boy and we would re-check again next month for more confirmation. Mommy already got the feeling that you're a baby boy since the beginning.
1. Accidentally Mommy always called you 'good boy' every time you're doing good.
2. The shape of Mommy's tummy which is only round in the center tells that you're a boy.
3. Mommy had bad headaches on the first 3 months which means that Mommy's carrying a baby boy.
4. Mommy used to like baby girl but after carrying you Mommy likes to see baby boy more than baby girl. Mommy even asked your auntie in Indonesia to frequently send the photos and videos of her baby boy to Mommy.
5. Mommy once prayed that you would be a boy.
Only one thing that does not match; Mommy likes to dress up and make up more than usual! Usually Mommy was always lazy to go on diet but it's very weird that now Mommy desperately wants to maintain a good body shape and have a pretty pregnancy after carrying you. Your grandma also said that Mommy looked prettier and fresher which usually means it's a baby girl. Usually 'pretty mommy' symptom is equal to baby girl while 'ugly mommy' symptom is equal to baby boy. Mommy is sure that you will be a handsome gorgeous boy who likes to maintain your body shape, err.. exactly like your Daddy ;P

Mommy feels the best right now, Mommy's baby bump started to show, nausea and headache are gone. Mommy's only problems now are just shortness of breath and fainting. Even when Mommy has difficulty in breathing and fainting, please be healthy ya.. Mommy always tries to get as much oxygen as possible for you to breathe. Please continue be healthy, be strong, be tough, and be a good boy, baby.

Third Ultrasound - 12 Weeks

Dear baby,
Phew, finally the long waiting has ended. It has been 4 weeks since Mommy saw you the last time. Today Mommy and Daddy saw you again for the third time! You are already in the shape of a baby now. You are now 12 weeks old, baby.. you are now 3 months old in Mommy's womb, woohoo! We have just passed the critical first trimester safely, baby.. good job!!

Mommy was so so so excited seeing you moving and dancing around inside Mommy's tummy. :D Yes, we saw your head, your chubby body, your two hands, and two legs. This time the check-up was quite long because the doctor wanted to check the chromosome by measuring the thickness of something on your head. But you were not in a good position to check so we had to wait and wait till your head position was clear enough. Anyway, Mommy really didn't mind to wait and wait because Mommy could see you moving around longer ^^

You are healthy, everything is fine. You grow so fast. You are now 5.5cm long from head to bottom (not including your legs because your legs are always up). We also heard your heartbeat this time, your heartbeat is 168bpm. Oh yea, Daddy said that you're a baby boy, Daddy insisted that Daddy saw it hehehehe... but it was really too early to see, even the doctor did not tell us anything. Daddy also said that your cheeks were chubby like Mommy's, errr.. actually the fat has not been developed yet at this stage. We just like to imagine things because we're too excited to see you ;D

"Ok ok, I know you are inside..."

Dear baby,
You know that Mommy did not feel any nausea and headache at all, right? Now Mommy is having terrible nausea and headache although Mommy doesn't throw up. The feeling is very very bad. It's like getting on the boat in the middle of the sea for 24 hours, 7 days a week, for about 4 weeks now. Well, actually it's because Mommy challenged you, Mommy was wondering if you are really inside because Mommy didn't feel anything at all. Now, let's create peace, baby. Mommy knows you are inside, please calm down now, ok? Sometimes it's weird, when Mommy really feels the worst, it's suddenly gone when Daddy comes home from work or when Daddy comes near you. Are you afraid of Daddy, baby? Hehehehe... Anyway, when Mommy's nausea is really really bad, Mommy likes to look for Daddy because it really helps! So, don't be naughty, baby.. ;P

Second Ultrasound - 8 Weeks Old

Dear baby,
Today Mommy and Daddy saw you again for the second time. This time we saw your heartbeat! This was the first miraculous thing that happened to you. Mommy was so happy when the doctor said 'It is much better now, we can see the baby's heartbeat'. You are alive now! Yes, Mommy saw you moving on one spot, your body is still so tiny but your heart beats so hard, that's why your whole tiny body shakes every time your heart beats, isn't that cute? Later you must still remember this; the heartbeat of yours is so precious to Mommy. The precious heartbeat that Mommy has been waiting for and longing for. Mommy never stops thanking God for giving you heart and healthy body.

Now Mommy really can see you! Not only see the black sac, but Mommy can see you! Your length now from head to bottom is 1.23cm. Mommy can see your head and your body.

Doctor said that you are now 8 weeks old, not 7 weeks old. Now your age is correct, your estimated due date will be on March 9th, 2011. Mommy is so happy that you are 1 week older because that means Mommy will see you face to face 1 week earlier ^^

Mommy and Daddy are now trying to search and book for hospital. The regulation in Hong Kong is like that, we should book the bed in hospital as early the baby is 9 weeks old. Mommy will see you again in 4 weeks. Ohh, Mommy feels like buying own ultrasound machine so Mommy can see how you are growing inside anytime. Anyway, see you in 4 weeks, baby! Jesus loves you!

First Ultrasound - 5 Weeks Old

Dear baby,
Today, Mommy and Daddy went to Matilda hospital to see you! Finally the day has come! Actually we couldn't really see you since you are still too small, we only saw a black sac 7mm long and 4mm wide, inside there is you but we still couldn't see you yet. The doctor said that you are around 5 weeks although it should be 6 weeks this week. Is it because Mommy doesn't eat enough? Hehehe... Anyway, the doctor said that Mommy has to come back again in 2 weeks because when you are 7-8 weeks old, your heart starts to grow. Mommy can't wait to hear your first heartbeat. Mommy is so happy to see you today. These are your first pictures in this world ^^



Actually Mommy needs to go back to Indonesia for business this week but Mommy has to cancel the trip because Mommy wants to keep you safe. Mommy has to have enough rest for the first 3 months so you can grow strongly can healthy. Baby, you also help Mommy to stay strong and healthy ya, that's the only thing you can do to make Mommy and Daddy happy.

You have been a good baby this week, Mommy doesn't feel any nausea at all! Mommy still has good appetite and Mommy still can do normal activities. Jesus loves you, dear!

First Time @Church

Dear baby,
Today is your first time coming to church. Mommy and Daddy are Christian. You are now still in Mommy's womb, you are still 5 weeks old, you still don't have ears to hear, you still don't have eyes to see, you still don't have heart to feel, you still don't have brain to think, but Mommy really wants you to know the place where you belong from the very beginning. Mommy couldn't stop crying and laughing at church today, saying thank you God for giving you to Mommy's life.

Baby, when you are older, when you feel down, when you think that you are none, please remember this; you are specially created by God, you are really a gift from heaven!

You are in Our Hearts

Dear Baby,
Usually Daddy gives Mommy 3 kisses every morning before Daddy goes to work. But, since yesterday morning, Daddy gives Mommy 1 additional kiss every day. Daddy said, this one kiss is for you, baby ^.^

Mommy also starts talking to you since yesterday.
Every time Mommy starts the day, needs to go out and walks a lot, Mommy touches you and says 'Be strong, be healthy, and be good ya..'
Every night before Mommy sleeps, Mommy touches you and says 'You have been a good baby today, have a nice sleep!'
And every day Mommy always prays 'Jesus, please protect my baby!'

The Beginning

Dear baby,
Today is Mommy's and Daddy's 3rd Wedding Anniversary Day. We have you as our special present from God on this special day, amazing isn't it? Mommy is so thankful to God for preparing you and giving you to Mommy and Daddy. You know what, Mommy cried of happiness and joyfulness when Mommy knew that you're already exist inside Mommy's body. This diary will record everything about you from today onwards. Mommy will call you 'baby' temporarily since Mommy has not prepared any name for you now ^^

You are now in Hong Kong and most likely you will be born in Hong Kong too although Mommy and Daddy are both Indonesian Chinese. Let's see where you will be born in.

Baby, even before you were created, Mommy already gave you to God so that God will always protect you and take care of you wherever you are. You are now in Mommy's womb, you should be around 5 weeks old now but Mommy will confirm with the doctor next week. Mommy can't wait to see you next week! :D
